Weekly Devlog 2


This is the team's second development log for Say EEK! 

We have implemented and worked on a lot more stuff to add into the game, as well as adjusted and modified the map!


Art Department 

 - Added and implemented the game control ui for the camera toggle and the photo taking mechanic!

- Added more assets into the map and adjusted the scaling.

- Sketched out and modelled a new map layout and adjusted it into the game.

- Writing a script with character descriptions and locations for map placement

- Tested out celebrity glow and ghost auras

- Updated game shaders

- Implemented hedges for hedge maze

- Created and implemented blucifer statue + textures

- Created and implemented grass, ferns, and flowers 3d assets

- Implemented celebrity ghost 2 and demon dog animations 

- Created beezaka model and animations


Music Department

- After workshopping a new map, the ambience system was put on hold until the new map is accessible to put in colliders for the different areas

- Work-shopped new main gameplay music.

   - Focused on a Harry Potter, whimsical, waltz style track.

   - Most layers are complete, I just want to have dynamic music for the game.

   - DJ club version on the track has been made.

- Recorded "ghost sounds" during our group meeting. 

   - Currently workshopping the effects on the ghost sounds to sound "like from an alternate dimension" and thematically tied to the VIPs "voices" vs regular ghosts chatting.


CS Department

- Added permanent stickers on camera borders: this will allow players to keep track of their progress over the course of the gameplay, with the stickers multiplying in numbers to symbolise the increase in their score!

- Fixed the aspect ratio for different sized screens .

- added text message notification function + area triggers around the map.

- say eek! Instagram account made!
